Designs by the leading graphic designer at Topshop.
I want to make my products relevant to the store and also work in context of the shop.

YESS!! Feedback from EchoWire:

They loved the logo and all the colour variations.
They think it will work really well and are really happy.
One thing they did say was that on the material they only want to use black white and one other colour.

Now onto the designing..

Logo - Colour Variations

I wanted to see how the logo would work on colour, and I really like it. It still stands out on a coloured background which means when it is applied to other people's vinyls etc with strong artwork it won't be lost.
Development of the logo..

I did like this design and I think it was due to the link between the E and the W. So I therefore wanted to develop this logo.

YES! I really like this idea! I really like having the W inside the E as then it doesn't read 'EW' I also think it gives the logo a longer and shorter version of the logo just by keeping it simple!

I hope they like this design!!

More ideas for the logo.. More ideas to show the guys from EchoWire. Their brief was pretty open and they were up for any ideas. So I am creating as many variations for them to chose from or for me to develop.

EchoWire - Digital ideas..

I wanted to create variations of ideas for the team to chose from of which I could then develop.

I created the idea of an actual wire and create a smooth thick handwritten idea. I also created more of a retro feeling logo with the ribbon as seen on some tattoos, this in my opinion works to create an instant personality and would stand out on material however I am not too sure its clean and powerful enough.
I then tried out a more minimal idea too, trying out the shape of both letters are very similar and work together quite effectively.

On the other hand I am not sure if they will like the minimalist sharp look, also it does read 'EW'
This isn't the strongest design as this does actually clearly read EW which is not what I want although I do like how the w connects to the E
This is a bit more rock and roll style, looks more edgy and powerful/ more in your face.

I then applied the design to a circle as the guys from EchoWire did like the idea of a circle, however I would like to also show them other options.
The idea of linking both the e's was another variation for the guys to chose from.

I do really like these ideas! They are minimal and this is my kind of thing, however it is up to them to chose their favourite idea/design.

Initial Ideas for EchoWire..

The one issue I am having with creating a logo for EchoWire is that it is seen as 'EW' which isn't really a positive thing!

So I need to make a logo which doesn't ready as ew, yet had the E and the W in the logo.

Brief 3 - All Too Human

Ideas for fashion yearbook

I like the small font along the top of the page and also along the bottom with the space enough for the images and also the 50 word statement from the student.

Development of the window display..

The cube finally spins in a full circle! now I need to storyboard which sections of videos I want in order and how they will move from one to the other.
Layouts for the flyer given out in the street to invite people and promote the section in topshop

Developing the Fashion Yearbook..

We really like the idea of having the name and contact details down the right hand side of the layout so that they are seen straight away on opening the book, however where would the statement of intent be.

Logo Development

Tuesday 13 March 2012

There is a little glitch with this design as the cube changes direction half way through. So that needs changing, however you get more of an idea about how this video will be and also the use of video along with the music and addition of type.

After speaking with Lorenzo he told me I needed to focus my fashion brief into specifics. Think about why I want to promote it and how I will do it.

Therefore I have decided to make Cubed a new Autumn/Winter Collection in Topshop.
Then I am promoting it through moving image in the window display and creating the small books, vouchers, etc for it.
