Playing a video within the type..

I found this tutorial on youtube of how to play the video through the text. Therefore I could play the video within the font which I think will look really cool! And then I could zoom into the font and play the video as normal!

Import picture/video to After Effects
Create a new layer for the text
Turn the text layer off
Background - Effects - Shatter - Drag onto the background (looks like building bricks)
View - Rendered
Move timeline
Open the Shape sub-menu
Change 'bricks' to custom then click on the custom and chose the text layer
Camera position - Change rotation and position - this makes the text 3D and background applied to the text
Lighting - change position and increase lighting depth
Make key frames through out

Can use this with video to play the video through the type.
